Because X-rays require pets to remain completely still, we may need to use mild sedation or short-acting anaesthesia to ensure a clear, accurate image, especially for more anxious or uncomfortable pets.
Radiographs provide detailed images of bones, joints, the gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestines, colon), respiratory system (lungs), heart, urinary and reproductive systems (bladder, kidneys, prostate).
