Skin issues are a common concern for our pets. They can be caused by a variety of factors, including hormonal imbalances, allergies, infections, or parasites like fleas and mites. Because these conditions can be persistent and uncomfortable for your pet, early diagnosis and treatment is recommended.
In many cases, we can identify the cause of a skin problem through a physical examination. However, some dermatologic conditions may require additional testing for an accurate diagnosis. Depending on your pet’s symptoms and exam findings, we may recommend further diagnostics such as blood tests, urinalysis, skin scrapings, or biopsies.
